MANNER OF CREATION

      
        Prior to promulgated of PD 86 and PD 210 all district in Quezon City and Throughout the country were classified as barrios and their local government governed by the Barrio Charter.PD 86 and 210 was decreed by the late President Ferdinand E. Marcos, creating Barangay all over the country. Among the Barangay created under PD 86 and PD 210 are Barangay Roxas, Barangay Kamuning, Barangay Sacred Heart, Barangay Laging Handa, Barangay Paligsahan, Barangay Obrero and Barangay South Triangle. PD 557 promulgated on September 21,1974 decreed the recognition of all Barangays created under PD 86 and PD 210. By virtue of this decree all existing barrios in Quezon City have been converted into Barangay.Executive Order No. 33 dated June 25,1975 by the late Mayor Norberto S. Amoranto ordered that the territorial jurisdiction of each of the above-mentioned Barangay shall be the same territory covered by each as former barrios or as barangays operating as Zones. The same Order also included the map of territorial jurisdiction of each of the aboved-listed Barangays.
